‘Ageing Well: How to reduce your Cancer Risk’

Cancer can develop at any age, but as we get older our risk of cancer increases. We cannot control our age, but lifestyle choices can reduce our risk of cancer no matter what age we are.
The webinar will feature experts discussing how we can reduce our risk of cancer as we age, including:
- Healthy lifestyle choices as we age: it’s never too late – Prof. Roman Romero-Ortuno, Associate Professor in Medical Gerontology at Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Physician in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin.
- Cancer Screening – National Screening Service
- Acting early on signs of cancer – Dr. Una Kennedy, National Cancer Control Programme GP Advisor
- Living well with and beyond cancer – Dr. Mairead Cantwell, Researcher, Lecturer & Course Coordinator, Department of Sport and Health Sciences, Athlone Institute of Technology
